My name is Josh and I run an online community for accessible travel called tabifolk (www.tabifolk.com). No mater how many sites have good accessibility information, disability is highly specific to the person and everyone has their own unique questions. So, instead of generic accessibility information, we see our roll to be a hub for people to ask their unique questions so locals and those who have gone before them can provide specific answers and the poster can begin their adventure with excitement instead of worry. We have many different groups based on topics and destinations. Right now we see that the Australia group is starting to pick up steam would love to invite some locals and Australia travel experts from Travel Massive join us in fostering this group’s growth. The Accessible Tourism Podcast speaks with people with disabilities and people from the tourism industry about what its like travelling with a disability and what industry is/could be doing. Travelling with a disability can be very challenging. We explore the constraints people with disabilities experience as they travel away from home. Real life experiences from people with disabilities are shared to provide an accurate picture of what it’s like to travel with a disability. People from the tourism industry also share their experience and knowledge of providing accessible experiences to people with disabilities. Each conversation finishes with an outlook on the future for people with disabilities in the tourism industry.

Hi everyone, I am really looking forward to your ideas! I thought I'd mention that we are also conducting a series of interviews and are looking for participants that are based in the Asia-Pacific region and are either working with a destination marketing organisation (local, regional, national...) or with an accommodation provider or a museum. Interviews are about 45 minutes long, through a video call and there's no need to prepare anything. All results will be de-identified.
