My name is Jeff and I've been a member of Travel Massive for several years.
I recently published my first article for Brainz Magazine about heritage travel at www.brainzmagazine.com/post/the-benefits-of-heritage-travel
There are different travel niches; including gastro tourism (foodies), regional travel (particular countries, states, counties, etc.), solo female travel, adventure travel, cruising, etc.
I like to focus on heritage travel because it fits my interests as someone who loves history and who tries to understand people that I meet during my travels, and the places that those same people come from. The best way to understand a destination is to give yourself a history lesson, as understanding the past will help you to understand the present and even predict the future.
It’s our lack of understanding of people and places that causes people to be afraid of others, for people don’t like what they don’t understand because it creates a fear of the unknown. Every tra...

Hey everyone, I've been to over 70 countries and 5 continents!
You don’t have to do anything drastic if you want to afford a life of travel. You don’t have to choose between having it all and having nothing at all, and you definitely don’t have to quit your lifestyle!
If I can do it, so can you!
So what are you waiting for?
Hey Victoria, thanks for sharing your blog with the Travel Massive community! It’s been so long since we interviewed you at Berlin Travel Massive all those years ago… can you sum up the biggest changes you’ve seen in Berlin in the past 5 years?
Hi Ian,
Thanks so much for your comment. You're awfully kind!
There has been a lot of renovating some of the more historical buildings in the old East Berlin center (Mitte). For example, the Humboldt Forum - a new museum that combines three rebuilt baroque façades of the former Royal Palace opened in 2021, there is an improved underground line (U5) that links to most of the tourist sights, the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) finally opened in 2020, Germany wasn't very big on submitting documents electronically, but now you can, food trucks and street food festivals have become very popular in the last few years, and pretty good Mexican food can now be found!
Berlin is fantastic as always of course and is welcome to all!
Have you experienced Berlin Brandenburg Airport yet? If so, what’s it like?
I must admit I grew fond of Tegel airport over the years, with its quirky terminals.
Me too.
I adored Tegel Airport. It was my favourite, along with Tempelhof Airport. All very small, easy to move around, easy to get to from anywhere in the city, you could check-in about 30 minutes before your flight, and once you landed, you could pick up your luggage and walk out in 2 minutes! Sadly, not anymore.
I used Berlin Brandenburg Airport last November. It's huge and I got lost! I was never a fan of the original Schönefeld Airport, and to be honest, I'm not a fan of the new one either!
I miss my tiny little Tegel Airport!
