What is your favorite travel destination?
Q&A(Almost) every destination I've been to (74 as I'm writing this) had something special: mesmerizing nature, warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, insightful history, impressive architecture... How can you choose just one?
Where do you dream of traveling to?
Q&ASocotra in Yemen and Rapa Nui in Chile are two of the more remote destinations still on my travel bucket list.
What was your first travel job?
Q&AMy first travel job is still the one I do 7+ years later: co-founding and continuously developing Minimalist Journeys Ltd, a business and website that promotes alternative, more sustainable ways to live and travel.
What do you want to learn more about?
Q&AEverything: historic figures and events (and what we can learn from them), what what makes people from different cultural backgrounds tick, foreign languages... Every day alive is a day of learning something new for me - one of the reasons why I love our lifestyle.

We haven't avoided a destination (yet). But that's purely because we'd only learn about their (bad) animal treatment behaviour during our visit. That said, the maltreatment of strays we've experienced in Serbia and Morocco certainly tainted our experien... show more

The samples on the website look beautiful, and I would love to have a proper look. I know it's best as a physical book, but do you plan to have it available in a digital version soon, too? We are location-independent, so all our books are eBooks.

We'll be in Morocco Jan/Feb (new to us both), then Europe from early Mar (starting with the ITB) and Asia from about Oct. We never plan that far ahead, so not sure yet which countries in Europe (other than Germany, the UK, Netherlands and hopefully Roma... show more
