Textomap instantly generates interactive maps with images and Wikipedia links from natural language like itineraries, articles, blogs, etc. No spreadsheets or complex tools - words are enough.
Making maps is as easy as bookmarking a page. Generate and view maps in the same tab as you move between websites, social media, docs, and emails with the Chrome Extension. Then embed them on your website or blog.

Hey all,
Thank you for your support and positive feedback.
We are excited to announce that we have released a new feature that allows you to customize maps with your own content and data.
With this feature, you can:
✔️ Assign or re-assign locations to any words or text.
✔️ Give map pins any name or label you want.
✔️ Link pins to open any webpage in a new tab.
✔️ Provide more details about each place.
Additionally, there is no need to upload images; you can use URL links from your website instead.
Check out our short introduction to this new feature at:
We encourage you to explore this feature and let your creativity run wild.
As always, we are happy to hear your feedback.
Cheers,
Dario
Hey guys 👋,
I'm Dario, Co-founder of textomap.com and We're excited to finally launch on Travel Massive.
Maps are an important part of travel, yet they are not well utilised.
Whether you're searching for or creating content, the process of visualising information on a map is a tedious task, we need to learn mapping tools that require us to add locations manually and usually only support desktop versions.
This results in a lot of time and effort that needs to be spent, and many creators choose to just skip the process and not display maps.
At Textomap, we're making maps an accessible and natural part of browsing the web and creating content. Maps are now as easy to create as bookmarking a page or searching Google.
Turn any text source (itinerary, email, word, tweet, article) into an interactive map in just seconds, or ask the ChatGPT-powered assistant for questions and information.
Easily create maps in seconds:
❇️ Instantly generate interactive maps with images and Wikipedia links from natural language like itineraries, articles, blogs, etc. No spreadsheets or complex tools - words are enough.
❇️ Making maps is as easy as bookmarking a page. Generate and view maps in the same tab as you move between websites, social media, docs, and emails with the Chrome Extension.
❇️ Looking for travel advice and information? Ask our ChatGPT-powered assistant questions and view the answers on a map.
❇️ Give anything a location. Assign locations to any word or sentence, creativity is the only limit.
❇️ Create maps of your content and easily embed them on your website or blog.
❇️ Textomap supports many languages: 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🇨🇳 🇪🇸 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇯🇵 🇷🇺 🇮🇹 🇵🇹 🇰🇷
Textomap was created from our love of travel and we would love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
Cheers,
Dana and Dario. Co-Founders of Textomap
Looks good! So the extension uses ChatGPT to use provided or generated content to create an interactive Google Map which I can then embed in my account?
I note that embedded maps need an ongoing Textomat subscription to continue to show on my website, but I thought that they were created under my Google account, so how does this work? I don't have any problem with the fee, but I'm a bit concerned about Textomap being bought or ceasing to exist/the sub dramatically increasing, etc and all my maps disappearing.
One of the reasons I became chary of Google Maps API was the potential cost of views deemed commercial, is this an issue with Textomap use?
Textomap seems to provide a great potential benefit for travel websites, so if you could clarify these questions it would be invaluable. I can't wait to experiment with ways to use it on Travelsignposts!
Cheers,
Tony
Hey Tony, good Questions. With Textomap you can either generate map from your own personal content that you wrote, or use. ChatGPT to generate a map from a prompt. We don’t use Google Maps API as it is very expensive and the costs per map would be ridiculous. We use mapbox for the map visualization along with some other tools in order to give a good result at a good price. We’re bootstrapped company.
We’re bootstrapped startup and don’t rely on VC money so there is no worry of Textomap closing. We are committed to our users data.
Let me know if you have further questions or if you need help onboarding to the tool. best , Dario
Thanks for the rapid response, Dario! SO the maps are hosted at Mapbox and piped through Textomap to my site (I presume you don't use Atlas)? Given Mapboxes free limits, my demands shouldn't trouble them...
I'm shortly off to Japan for a month, and I think Textomap will be a great help in building the new site (Travelsignposts Japan) from scratch, let alone on our main site. Thanks for the onboarding offer, but at the moment I'll start thinking about the best way to use your tool in our business. I'll come back to you with any questions directly.
Keep on coding,
Tony
Thanks Tony! Enjoy Japan!
Great project! Thanks for sharing this with the Travel Massive community!
I just made my first map (via gpt input):
“Accessible travel locations on the Gold Coast, Australia”
www.textomap.com/share?NjM4OzA7MA==
Since I’m at a conference today about accessible travel, I thought this would be an interesting test. One of the results is actually the location of the conference. Bravo!
Thanks Ian! Appreciate the support. It’s usecases like the map you created that really get us excited to see :)
great product idea congrats for the launch! Did you already think about an wordpress plugin to automaticly integrate it on any post. Could be a killer feature for travel blogs. Could also be great to generate a map from all blog posts merged together to have one map overview for whole blog or all articles.
Cheers :)
Hey Philip, yes we’re working on a Wordpress plugin along and plan to integrate with other popular tools. Thanks ! Dario
Would also love to see something that can be used for Wix sites.
It looks great, would love to be able to use!
Hey Tara! You can actually already use Textomap and embed maps in wix! Would love to show you if interested
This is a great project! I've recently begun utilizing it
Hey Thoedor, glad to hear that! :). Let me know if you need any support or have any feedback. Best, Dario
