🤓 A few months ago I took the nerdiest approach to planning a trip to Italy. I built a web app to plan with friends and now it's in a beta release. All with the goal of making planning travel with friends easier.
🗓 You can create itineraries through an intuitive calendar interface. Saving all the important information about each destination / event in you trip you can access while planning and while on the trip.
🤑 You can track and maintain your trip budget. Track who's paid and who hasn't. Make settling the tab super easy.
👍 One of the hardest parts of trip planning is figuring out what to do or where to stay. Not everyone is always up for the same thing. Use the vote / like button on events to help make group decisions about the trip.

What's the monetization strategy for the future?
That's something I'm still working on. My current perspective is a set of pro features activated per trip for a one time price. Something like $3.99 per trip.
While a monthly subscription would benefit me, I just don't know if it's the right monetization strategy for the user. Still a bit to think on and user test

Just following up - I used it to plan a recent family trip to Portugal. I love it!
I think its really user friendly and has everything that I need to plan the trip. I saw your comment above about monetizing it. There are definitely certain features that could be part of the "Pro" paid features package.
I was the only one of the group to use it so I haven't experienced it with multiple people using the features. I also haven't tried out the budget feature yet (but I'm really excited to).
I plan to use this for all future trip planning and am excited to see how it evolves.
I also downloaded the app - I really enjoy that so far!
Might be a bit complicated at the beginning, but maybe you could have some sort of affiliate marketing revenue by recommending certain activities/hotels/etc when people are planning trips to certain destinations?
