Programs are available in over 25 program sites in Uganda from 1-24 weeks. These project sites districts are: Mukono, Wakiso, Mbale, Jinja, Kampala, Yumbe and several other areas where Ssamba Foundation run development projects.

The Ssamba Foundation addresses some of the most pervasive problems in rural Uganda, including poor healthcare systems, hunger, poor education system, access to clean drinking water, environment degradation and extreme poverty.

The Foundation is a registered non-profit community development organization founded by Hon. Isaac Ssamba in Mukono, Uganda. Operating in Mukono district, we manage a wide range of sustainable development and humanitarian projects since 2006.

In addition, the foundation focuses on empowering the youth of Uganda through leadership and skills training. The organization is founded on the principles that our common humanity is more important than our individual differences. We therefore operate on a non-political, non-denominational, and non-sectarian basis, welcoming each and every Ugandan in need.

Team Leader, Ssamba Foundation

I am Isaac Ssamba, the Founder and Team leader at Ssamba Safaris, Founder and Executive Chairman at Ssamba Foundation and a Travelers’ Host at Ssamba Homestay. I am an adventure travel and road trips addict and so I founded a knit-community of adventure seekers which I named- Vacation Hunters – East Africa. Where I live, I am popularly known as “Master Isaac”, “Councilor Isaac” or “Kyampisi Ambassador”.

If you choose Uganda as your next destination for adventure or volunteer holiday, I would like to be your Personal Guide and Travel Adviser. I was born here and have been a registered guide for the last 10 years. My private and group tours and safaris have been successfully introducing people from all around the world to the wonders and excitement of this beautiful country- Uganda since 2006.

I speak English (and I am learning German & Swahili and recently I picked interest in Spanish) and my tours and trips will show you all the best places to visit both on and off the beaten track. This website will introduce you to many Uganda adventure activities and many ways to make a positive difference. I can easily arrange things for you to do that will accommodate people of all ages.

I organize and arrange volunteer placements for people who are interested in giving back to the communities while on their holiday in Uganda. Programs range from Teaching, Healthcare, Working with Refugees, Wildlife Conservation, Agriculture & Farm work, Environment Conservation, Games and Sports, Construction and so many other projects.

I can organize your airport transfers and ground transport as well as help you with your hotel bookings and even guide you to fabulous nightlife experiences. I offer basically customized tours and volunteer placements and I also offer “host family” accommodation at my home to help you save on extreme hotel bills in Uganda.

I provide you with a service which enables you to enjoy all of your holiday without having to spend your time going to all the travel and booking agents. I take care of everything for you, whether you are here for a few days or a more extended period.

Please don't fail to contact me, if you have any inquiries.

I have spent two months in Kyampisi. This has been the best time of my life. The people are so cordial, I directly felt like being home. Once I got to Uganda, everyone was very happy to help and very supportive. I had an amazing time at my project teaching Spanish.

I worked in a local high school and helped the classroom with Spanish lessons, I taught 3 classes. The children were eager and motivated to learn. I was encouraged by Mr. Ssamba to teach Spanish lessons and it turned out to be a really good experience and I enjoyed to be a teacher although that were really exhausting days.

At the end of my volunteer project, I ended my time here with a weeklong safari to Bwindi for Gorilla trekking experience and Queen Elizabeth national park, all organized by Mr. Ssamba.

After the school teaching, I went to the gardens and I always joined the family on farm work, planting beans, matooke (bananas), and feeding the chicken at the volunteer house. Sandy my sister who runs the house was a wonderful host throughout my stay and she is the kindest most loving person you can imagine.

The people I have met have all been so wonderful and with the biggest hearts. There is so much to see and do here. I am very sad to leave Kyampisi, it has been the most humbling, eye opening and wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone who has opened their hearts to me. Uganda truly is a very beautiful place.
