Interesting. I'd be interested to learn about your data points. I'm not convinced on the accuracy on the African stats.

Hi Neil. Where you see accuracy problems? You can drop me a DM. I will check.

Dear Tom,

Interesting concept with great features, would love to see data/info collected for Namibia/Africa. We are building an assistance product for Namibia, with the aim to expand in Southern Africa and the info seems skewed?

First congrats on your current project in Namibia. Let me know in a DM how I can help or how we can improve our platform for your needs. Wish you all the success for the expansion in South Africa.

Hi Tom, looks like a good tool. Does the database have capability to rank destinations by criteria? I'm working on a Caribbean safety story--looking for a ranking 1-10 say of safest islands in the Carib with supporting data. Something you have available or can generate? Thanks!

Hi Bill,

yes totally possible. Check out this link:

theworldtravelindex.com/en/caribbean/islands

This is overall ranking where you can select also other criteria on a main level like safety

Here are more rankings for specific criteria, where also drop-downs for deeper filtering are available:

Costs:
theworldtravelindex.com/en/caribbean/islands/cost

Activities:
theworldtravelindex.com/en/caribbean/islands/activities

Safety:
theworldtravelindex.com/en/caribbean/islands/safety

Most worthwhile:
theworldtravelindex.com/en/caribbean/islands/infrastructure

They are all backed by statistical data. In terms of safety we are mainly relying on Numbeo and other UGC providers. Beforehand we had crime data from national and global resources but found out that this does not necessarily reflect the safety situation or impression of visitors and travelers at all.

Same is available for cities and (independent) countries in the Caribbean.

Any further questions kindly let me know.
