Thanks to everyone who attended our Los Angeles Travel Industry Social at Paloma Venice this week.
Hosted by LA Travel Massive and Travel With Meaning, the event brought together travel founders, creators and professionals for an evening of networking — including travel bingo (thanks Toronto for the tip!) and a raffle with prizes generously donated by The Darling Hotel in Visalia and Traveler’s Autobarn.
As well as making new human connections, attendees enjoyed the dog-friendly hospitality at Paloma (follow on Instagram) and meeting Sushi The Traveling Chihuahua and friends.

What an absolute joy to meet Ian Cumming in person — the visionary who launched Travel Massive ten years ago and helped reshape how the global travel community connects. In 2014, Ian pushed a button in Lisbon and didn’t just launch a platform — he launched a movement. Travel Massive gave travelers, journalists, founders, creatives, and adventure-seekers a place to find each other, share knowledge, collaborate, and build real relationships. Not digital followers — real community.

Travel Massive has supported me through so many chapters — from rebuilding my life after divorce, to writing and launching Brave-ish, to creating my “Make Your Own Map” podcast, to speaking at the Travel & Adventure Show. So many of the people who cheered me on, opened doors, and stood beside me — I met through this network.
Deep gratitude to Lauren Goldenberg and Audrey Lo who have done such an incredible job leading Travel Massive LA — building thoughtful gatherings, curating conversations that matter, and fostering a sense of belonging in one of the biggest, busiest cities in the world. You create space for connection, collaboration, and kindness — and it shows. Thank you. 💛
We celebrated at Paloma in Venice, and it felt like a full-circle moment — especially being there with my dear friend Amy, who I met during our Princess Cruises travel days. Travel relationships aren’t just fun — they are formative. They shape who we become and how we move through the world.
Ten years of Travel Massive = ten years of opening doors, sharing knowledge, and reminding us that the world gets bigger when we travel it together. Ian — thank you for building something that lasts, evolves, and still brings us together. 🌍
Here’s to the next chapter — and to all the maps we haven’t made yet.
