I am the Head Honcho at The Safari Collective - a team of enormously experienced old safari farts based in Hoedspruit - South Africa's safari capital. We offer a fresh "team sport" approach to doing tourism. In my own right I am an award-winning writer, journalist, film-maker and marketer specialising in travel and tourism and am something of an expert in the African safari industry and sustainable tourism. After more than 30 years in mainstream media, 20 of these focussed entirely on travel and tourism, I have amassed an enormous amount of experience and besides creating content of all kinds and offering top-notch marketing services, have managed to find the time to help manage safari lodges and consult to some of the best in the industry on everything from lodge repositioning and etiquette to website content and staff training.
