I've worked in tourism and hospitality since 2001 and from 2013 with a focus on sustainable tourism.
In 2014 I moved to Cambodia where I began advocating for reducing single-use plastics in the tourism sector, the response was massively positive and ultimately led me to creating my business, Plastic Free Southeast Asia.
The purpose of PFSEA is to support tour companies, destination bodies and hotels in creating their sustainability plan, engaging their team and putting the plan into place, whilst bringing suppliers and customers on the journey.
I'm an independent and trained Blue Consultant for Oceanic Global's Blue Standard and a verified coach for the Travelife Certification program, supporting tour companies who want to attain the Travelife certification in reaching their goal.
As well as these skills, I've got a Masters Degree in Tourism Management where I first learnt about and developed an interest in sustainable tourism.
Now based in Sydney, Australia I continue working with hotels and corporate businesses and also the Sydney Festival. I volunteer on the Mosman Council Climate Action Committee and for the NSW Tourism Awards as a judge.
Connections in the tourism space
I favour Southeast Asia and also love exploring!
