Sam leads the Nigerian chapter of Travel Massive, the world’s largest community of travel and tourism professionals. He is a Recipient of the Ooni of Ife Royal Leadership Awards 2020.
He sat on the Tourism Sub-sector Committee of the Lagos State Government's COVID19 Pandemic Committee - to assess and review the impacts of the pandemic on the state’s cultural, creative and tourism sectors.
A business leader with expertise in destination marketing, Sam is a co-founder at TravelWithSamGlobal, a boutique travel company providing bespoke vacation experiences and solutions.
Over the years, he has worked on destination marketing campaigns with government agencies and parastatals, nationally and internationally. These include: Dubai Tourism, South African Tourism, Rwanda Development Board, Lagos Tourism, Akwaaba Travel Market, Kenya Tourism Board, Uganda Tourism Board and Ogun State Tourism.
Others include: Nigeria Travel Week, United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Africa Travel Association (ATA), Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and Royal Carribean International, Air Namibia, Cabo Verde Air, among others.
A well sought after professional, Sam is skilled at deploying his vast industry network in building community, driving organizational growth and profitability. In 2017, he led his company's team to win a KiliFair Travel Award in Moshi, Tanzania; while in 2019, he led more than 30 travel and tourism professionals to curate the Travel Africa Day Experience at Social Media Week Lagos.
Sam holds a BSc (Urban & Regional Planning) from Obafemi Awolowo University; PGD (Mass Communications) and MBA (Marketing) from the University of Lagos. He is also an alumnus of the Executive Education Programme of the prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS).
