I'm Desmond Langkilde, a limber 63 year young fossil, a travel writer, and a dreamer.
I have a dream that's born of passion, nurtured through countless hours, even years, of planning, budgetting, and grant funding application rejections. And still the Dream persists! Undaunted by others who consider the Dream to be fanciful, unrealistic, or just plain crazy. If your dreams are similar, then I'm in good company.
This is a long story. So sit back, grab a coffee (or your favourite tipple), and read on as I share my dream with you.
Then, at the end, make a comment. Be critical. Share your dream. How did you overcome setbacks to turn your dream into reality? After all, I'm posting this to get feedback and inspiration from the Travel Massive community (or anyone you care to share this post with).
👉 So, here's my dream; to walk the entire Africa coastline, including the continents' islands - 40 countries, 40,000km, 52 million steps.
And while walking, to tell Africas' stories. Storie...

Here, This is Andrew, from Kili Tanzanite Safaris Company.
This app will help you track and see the location of the wildebeest migration in Serengeti.
What do you expect to see during your Tanzania safari?
This looks like a really cool and powerful tool. I was lucky enough to go to the Serengeti 15 yrs ago and hope to return again. And specifically I do want to see the wildebeest migration. The photos look truly amazing and to be there in person would be epic.
Thank you for the compliment, Awesome! Sure, it is a powerful tool and helps safari goers choose a safari lodge, or camp according to the wildebeest migration movement in Serengeti, and Masai Mara. You are welcome, and our company Kilimanjaro Tanzanite Safaris will give you free advice.
Wow this is awesome. Can it be used for other parks as well?
Thank you, Neil, It can not be used in other parks. However, it is wildebeest who move around the year, and that is why the Serengeti track was developed. In other parks, most animals are stationary, and resident permanently. Of course, there is animal movement between Tarangire and Manyara, but that is not massive as Serengeti. Our Safari guides know the timing, and what animals location, whereabouts
This looks like a very useful and amazing app! Serengeti is on my list!
Erin, thank you for your comment, and Upvote. I learned that you are doing a great job in teaching English, and also doing writing, making travel inspiration to people. For sure, making Serengeti National Park, on your travel list, is a Superb choice. We are a Licensed Tour Operator in Tanzania, and we love your writing job. We thought you can write about Serengeti, especially advising safari goers about the wildebeest migration trend.
