In this video, I share with you my story. Of how, at the age of 43, I put everything I had into achieving my dream of becoming a travel blogger and digital nomad and how I failed. Now at 47, I am starting over. Was I delusional? Is chasing your dreams really such a great idea?
So what do you do when you fail at achieving your goal? Let's talk about it!

My name is Pati. In this video, I wanted to share a story that many travel bloggers can probably relate to. Not every story is a success story, but those are not often discussed. But in this video, more than anything, I wanted to encourage other dreamers, bloggers, travel content creators and wanna-be entrepreneurs that failure is not the end. Without failure, we never really grow! That failure can only be the beginning of something new or something different. Something even better. I would love to hear your thoughts, your experiences and your perspective on this. Enjoy the video :)
Thanks for sharing your experience and learnings, and I'm sure your feelings resonate with many entrepreneurs (not just bloggers) watching this.
I really thought you'd quit blogging until I watched your video!
Don't give up, keep learning and adapting!
Thank you for sharing your honest and inspiring message. You're absolutely right...failure isn’t the end and it can often be the beginning of a new path. Good Luck!!
failure can be so hard especially today because we compare ourselves to so many people online. It is very important to talk about failures as it is just part of journey to success not end of it so thank you for sharing your experience
Thanks for sharing this! I agree wholeheartedly with you - success does not come without failures before it, and it's not talked about enough.
Great video Patrycja. As a person who makes a living from my travels, I can very much identify with you. Being 55 years old, I started my journey long before there was something called travel blogging or digital nomads. I spent my first years travelling, working with local farmers around Europe and the Middle East, just like I washed many dishes in hotels and restaurants. Then after a couple of years I realised that I could use the travel knowledge I had gained and the languages I had learned to earn money in Travel & Tourism. Even if I had no degree whatsoever. Slowly but surely I built up a reputation as someone who could fix problems and someone who knew a lot about travelling and about many countries around the globe. These days I make most of my living from freelance tour leading. A job where I am in high demand at the moment and I have been offered 4-5 times more work than I can possibly do in 2025. So I will be a happy nomad the coming year, working half the year as a tour leader and traveling the other half for fun. I am actually taking 5 weeks off from tour leading right now and is writing these lines from a little hotel in Uganda, where I am doing a 4 week solo cycling trip during my time off. So keep going and you will succeed Patrycja. You seem to have the stamina to succeed. And good idea to get a Youtube presence as well. You have charisma, which is important on Youtube. Good luck here from a fellow nomadic college, sitting in the middle of Africa :-)
