According to TechCrunch, Amazon could be launching a marketplace where media sites can sell their content to AI companies. According to sources, the e-commerce giant has been alerting publishing executives of their plans ahead of an AWS conference this week.
Microsoft recently announced they are developing a “Publisher Content Marketplace” (PCM) to allow publishers to sell premium content to AI companies. They claim that “PCM will support publishers of all sizes, from large national and international organizations to specialized and independent voices.”

Travel bloggers and publishers — would you license access to your travel website to an AI company? What kind of pricing model would you accept, and on what terms, if any?
I would! I'm not sure about price, but I provide unique information (accessibility) and would be willing to be paid to be scraped as the source of truth.
Oui, c'est envisageable.
Je n'ai pas de modèle de tarification à suggérer.
Faites moi une proposition.
This could be interesting, I've been looking at how better to be discovered on AI, most of the SEO community say just carry on doing what your doing (inc adding the LLM codes etc) and it will increase your domain authority and therefore AI will pick you up, but maybe this is a way forward or at least something to look at :-)
Can I use AI to create the content for my site and sell it to them?
I think you know the answer to that. Plus, it's a marketplace so the only buyer would be someone who agrees to purchase that content. I get the impression that these kinds of content marketplaces are leaning towards "premium" content that is not publicly accessible, e.g. paywalled content.
I know, but it would be funny
Absolutely not. As a publisher, I am not about to risk the integrity of my magazine, blog, our contributing writers and the featured stories we present. That, and our focus is local, independents, so being on Amazon would go against our main core value.
