About me

I grew up in an 'airline & travel industry' family, and am fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel far and wide, across 6 continents, from a very young age.

I am a translator by profession (working from French, German & Spanish into English, specialising in travel & tourism content) but have now also set up my 'Home in the World' travel & lifestyle blog and Instagram, which aims to inspire local and global wanderlust.

Apart from a love of all things language, culture & travel, I also have a keen interest in reading, Formula 1, world affairs, meditation & mindfulness, photography, nature, music, interior design and art exhibitions.

Why did you join the community?

I am looking to build my network in the travel industry, as I have just started my own travel & lifestyle blog and Instagram. I am also keen to explore other opportunities for freelance travel writing, content creation and contributing to existing travel sites.

  • Oh snap! Yes, I have wanted to visit the pyramids for about 30 years, so it will be a dream to actually see them with my own eyes. An overnight tour of the touristy area sounds interesting! Is that to avoid the crowds? Good thinking!
