I've traveled a lot with friends this year, and it was the same story every single time. Nobody quite knew what was happening when. Bookings were scattered across four inboxes and four different phones. And splitting the costs afterward, across currencies, off half-faded receipts, was always the worst part of the trip.
So we built the thing we actually needed, after one too many Interrail trips ending in a group chat full of receipt photos and bad math.
How Deline works
Tripline lays the whole trip out as a single shared timeline: flights, hotels, activities, and food, all in one place, so everyone in the group sees exactly what's happening and where, at the same time. No more "does anyone have the hotel confirmation" three days in.
The part that actually changed how we traveled was the cost splitting. Add an expense, pick who's in on it, and at the end Deline works out exactly who owes who, down to the smallest number of payments. You can even scan a receipt or a booking confirmation and it fills itself in.
We built and tested it while Interrailing across Europe this summer, real cities, real money, real group chat chaos, and it held up. That's why it exists.

Please check it out and give us feedback! I'm also curious how people here deal splitting costs on a trip? What's actually worked for you?
Congrats guys! The UX looks great, how did you come up with this?
Who is your ideal customer for Tripline? Is there a demographic you're aiming to reach?
Looking forward to the Android version!
Thanks Ian, that means a lot. 😊
Ideal customer is less a demographic than a situation: any group where the trip is genuinely shared, so the plan and the money both have to be. So far it many young people, a lot of interrail and city trips with friends, but the same mess shows up on a family ski week. If one person ends up fronting costs and chasing everyone afterwards, that's our user.
Android is in the works, on our website you can signup for the waitlist and the possibility of becoming a part of our testing team!
That is a good ideal. As far as splitting costs on a trip, sometimes you'll get, I would buy breakfast and you would buy lunch while we would split dinner.
Thank you so much Tracy! If you are interested in more info on the app or the download link you can find us at deline.dev!
This is such a familiar kind of chaos. I like that you designed around the actual trip, not just the planning stage. The shared timeline plus cost splitting feels especially useful for families, where one person often ends up quietly managing everything.
Thanks Vivian, that really means a lot. 😊
That "one person quietly managing everything" thing was actually the whole reason I started building it, in my own friend group it was always the same person doing flights, bookings and chasing people for money.
The idea was to make that work visible so it gets shared instead of just landing on one person. Do you see the same thing with the families you work with?
