This year we've already hosted Travel Massive meetups in LA, NYC, Oklahoma City, and in a few far flung places such as Armenia, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Uganda! It's a great way to meet with fellow members in the community and talk about travel, startups, blogging, and everything related to travel and tourism.
Hosting a Travel Massive meetup is easy (it's free, and there's no sponsorship requirements), and I'm happy to help anyone who would like to organize a gathering and announce it to this group. The time requirements to organise a meetup is ~2 hours (+ your time to attend the event and make new friends).

Hi Ian! (We met in Singapore a few years back). I just moved to San Francsico a few weeks ago (after spending the pandemic in England). Originally I'm from the East Coast, but have lived abroad (Asia & Europe) for 10 years, and have never lived in SF before. So, yes, I'm very interested in a meeting others in the industry here an making new connections. I'd be happy to help organize/host, though I'd need advice from locals about a venue.

For members in San Jose, I believe the Silicon Valley Travel Massive are organizing an event soon.
We are in the Sierra foothills so perhaps East Bay would be a nice compromise. and perhaps pick a place that is good for BART or such transit in. Also, for us at least would be better if not evening since otherwise with 2 hour transit it could be pretty late. When? Need good notice.... Mid july?
