Hi Travel Massive community!
We created TripProf because planning a trip often means switching between multiple apps, notes, screenshots, maps, documents, chats, and spreadsheets. This becomes even more complicated when people travel together.
Group trips bring additional challenges: coordinating different preferences, agreeing on an itinerary, keeping everyone informed about changes, managing shared bookings and documents, tracking group expenses, and calculating who owes whom. Important information can easily get lost across different group chats and applications.
TripProf brings the key parts of a journey together in one place. Travelers can:
• Create a personalized travel guide for their destination
• Build and organize a day-by-day itinerary
• Keep important trip information, tickets, and documents together
• Track individual and shared expenses
• Split costs between selected group members
• Record who paid and calculate outstanding balances
• Create a packing list and prepare for the trip
• Keep useful information accessible during the journey
Our goal is not simply to create another travel-planning app. We want to build a practical travel companion that helps both individual travelers and groups feel more prepared, organized, and confident before and during their journeys.
TripProf is still growing, and feedback from real travelers and travel professionals is extremely important to us.
We would especially love to learn:
1. What is the most difficult part of organizing a group trip?
2. How do you currently coordinate plans, expenses, and documents with your travel companions?
3. Which TripProf features would be most useful during your trips?
4. What functionality would make you use TripProf regularly?

One feature that would make a platform like TripProf particularly useful to me is support for route logic, not only itinerary organization.
For complex overland and mountain journeys, individual stops are connected by practical dependencies: realistic travel times, road or trail conditions, opening hours, border or access restrictions, seasonal limitations, weather, transport frequency, and alternative routes when the original plan becomes impossible. Offline access, map or GPX integration, and the ability to attach field notes to particular route segments would also be valuable.
Through Journey Beyond the Horizon, I often work with routes where the journey cannot be reduced to a sequence of bookings and attractions. Are any route-level planning, mapping, offline, or contingency features already available or planned for TripProf?

I completely agree that route-level planning could solve a number of real problems for travelers, especially for more complex overland, mountain, and multi-stage journeys where the route itself is just as important as the destinations.
At the moment, TripProf does not support this level of route logic, such as road or trail conditions, border and access restrictions, seasonal limitations, alternative routes, GPX integration, or notes linked to specific route segments.
However, our "Travel Guide" already covers a number of related areas that can help travelers plan more realistically and manage potential risks before and during a trip. Depending on the destination, it provides practical guidance on weather-related limitations and seasonal considerations, local terrain and destination-specific conditions, rules of conduct and important local practices, common scams and situations tourists should be aware of, as well as other useful destination-specific information that can affect how a trip should be planned.
The idea is not only to help users decide what to see, but also to give them practical context that can help them prepare properly, avoid unnecessary problems, and better manage potential risks during the journey.
That said, your comment has definitely given us something to think about. We may consider developing more advanced route-level functionality in this direction if we see that it would be valuable for a broader group of travelers.
