Hi all!
Nappr (www.nappr.io) is a marketplace that enables people to book flexible 2 to 12-hour day rates at nearby hotels to catch up on much-needed rest and meet the demands of their unique schedules. Our network of 1,050+ global hotels gives busy on-the-go professionals the opportunity to book rooms on-demand at the venues of their choice for up to 50% off the overnight rate - and with all of the amenities included. This also gives hotels the ability to fill their unused daytime inventory and generate some extra revenue with convenient, flexible scheduling.
Why use Nappr?
🏨 We offer day rates at some of the world's largest hotel brands.
💰 It's up to 50% cheaper than standard hotel rates.
🏙️ We're located in over 500 cities across the world, including 50 major airports.
🏋️ You get all the amenities of an overnight stay (e.g. Pool, Exercise Room, Business Center, Continental Breakfast, etc.)
🤝 You can often connect your existing loyalty programs
😴 It's a convenient way to take a nap!
And while we think that everyone can benefit from this, these specific travel use cases come to mind:
😪 Red-Eye Arrivals - Early a.m. landings often strand passengers who can’t check into their overnight hotels for multiple hours.
✈️ Jet-Lagged Layovers - Most airports lack places to rest, and membership lounges rarely have beds.
⏰ Flight Delays and Cancelations - Unpredictable schedules leave people frustrated and often without a reliable place to go.
🚗 Long-haul Road Trips - Multiple hours of driving can leave people feeling tired and prone to getting into a car accident.
🧳 Storing Luggage - Checking out of an Airbnb early and have an evening flight? Drop your items off and explore the city without having to lug stuff around.
😫 And anybody else who is exhausted and/or needs some respite during a hectic travel day!

Hi Jared, thanks for sharing Nappr with the Travel Massive community!
I recently listened to your interview on the Top Floor Podcast about the origin story (sharing link here for anyone else interested): www.topfloorpodcast.com/episode/161
One thing I don't understand about the business model, is how customers will find you when they need the service. For example: early check-in is already a filter on hotel OTAs, and some hotels chains such as Accor already promote "Book a room for the day". There's quite a few luggage storage startups out there, too. How will Nappr "get in first" in the customer's booking path?
Thanks again for sharing, and hope you get some rest while building the business!
My pleasure Ian! And thanks for posting the podcast episode here.
You pose a great question regarding brand awareness and that's been a big focus for us recently. We're still fairly new and primarily B2C with a bootstrapped budget, so we've had to be pretty creative and scrappy with our marketing up until now. I think the key to our growth will be acquiring strategic B2B partnerships with larger players like the OTAs you mentioned or other travel agencies who would potentially list our inventory and take a commission on each booking. Some sites do have filters for these but most of them do not (at least from my experience) so offering this as an additional option would only benefit their users and be a win win for everyone. We're also trying to partner with airlines as well so that they could either offer this to delayed customers or to their loyalty members for a noticeable discount.
We're already in talks with some major players so you might see this listed in a few of these places soon enough!
The first thought that came to mind when reading Nappr's summary was...what if I needed a transit visa (e.g. to stay in an airport hotel)? Ultimately, buying a flight ticket is a caveat emptor situation, but given how well some countries' carriers can undercut others, I reckon there's a number of passengers on a daily basis who "get stuck" in a miserable airport for hours at a time, whether for delays, cancellations, or anything else.
Of course, sorting out transit visas is an entirely other can of worms.
Interesting! I hadn't even considered this use case but it's a good one!
