Founder and CEO, VeloPlanner

Hi Travel Massive community!

Who else here is passionate about cycling tourism? 🚴‍♀️

I'm Kacper, Founder of VeloPlanner. I'm a programmer and passionate cyclist who took the leap at the end of 2024 - left my day job to focus purely on VeloPlanner. The idea came from my own frustrations planning cycling trips across Europe. Too many fragmented websites, and missing information about what routes are actually like to ride.

8 months ago I shared VeloPlanner's launch on Travel Massive:

What a journey it's been! We've made incredible progress while staying true to our bootstrapped approach.

Our Focus: Europe's Best Official Cycling Routes

We've doubled down on what makes us unique - curating the highest quality official cycling routes across Europe (rest of the World soon). Think EuroVelo network, Alpe Adria, Danube cycle path etc.

Each route comes with:

- Free GPX downloads (no registration needed)
- Detailed surface & road type stats so you know what you're getting into
- One-click import to our advanced planner for custom modifications

Enhanced Multi-Stage Trip Planner

We've just upgraded our planner to handle multi-stage trips with ease. Plan your week-long Danube adventure or multi-country EuroVelo journey in one tool - still simple to use, but now powerful enough for serious cycle touring.

Community Features

8,000+ route photos uploaded in just a few weeks - our new "Route View Photos" feature lets cyclists share real conditions. No more guessing if that gravel section is actually rideable!

We've also added review systems for both routes and POIs, plus a comprehensive POI layer (rail stations, attractions, restaurants, bike shops, hotels - everything a cycle tourist needs).

Staying Independent & Customer-Focused

We're intentionally avoiding the VC route - no pressure to squeeze money from users or chase growth for growth's sake. This lets us focus on what actually matters: building something cyclists genuinely need.

Let's Connect!

We've already partnered with tourism organizations and companies like Austria Tourism, Germany Tourism, Flixbus, Koleo, and others. We're looking to network with:

- Cycle tourism operators interested in showcasing their routes
- Destination marketing organizations promoting cycling regions
- Fellow travel tech founders building sustainable businesses

We already worked with tourism organisations and other companies: Austria Tourism Org, Germany Org, Flixbus, Koleo and others.

Check us out at veloplanner.com - would love your feedback!

Let me know if you have any feedback. Always happy to chat about cycling, travel tech, or the solo founder journey! 🚴‍♂️
