About me

I’m Severino, founder of Italy2California, a travel, culture and lifestyle platform bridging Italy and California through authentic storytelling, destinations, food, art and local experiences.
Italy2California is a cross-cultural project that connects people, places and ways of living on both sides of the ocean.
I’m also Tourism Ambassador for Oceanside (California) and Member of the Board of Directors of the California Surf Museum.

Why did you join the community?

I’m joining Travel Massive to connect with travel industry professionals, share ideas, and contribute to discussions around cultural storytelling, destinations and community-driven tourism. I’m especially interested in cross-cultural projects that connect people and places through travel.

What is your favorite travel destination?

California and Italy.
Two destinations that constantly inspire me in different ways, one for its openness and energy, the other for its cultural depth and traditions.

Where do you dream of traveling to?

Northern Europe and South America, two regions I’m drawn to for very different reasons:
Northern Europe for its design-driven mindset, sustainability and quality of life;
South America for its cultural richness, landscapes and strong sense of identity.

What was your first travel job?

United States, my first travel-related experience, where I began working in an international and cross-cultural environment.

What do you want to learn more about?

I’d like to learn more about sustainable and community-driven tourism, cultural storytelling, and how destinations can create meaningful experiences while preserving local identity.

Three words that describe why we should travel?

Connection. Understanding. Growth.
