Karsten Jannicke has climbed anything within reach since he started to crawl. After travelling the world and climbing amongst others Aconcagua (6995m) and crossing the Patagonian Ice Cap on a new route, he turned tourism into his profession. For nearly a decade Karsten helped organising over a thousand Kilimanjaro climbs based out of Arusha, Tanzania, at the foothills of Mount Meru.
Karsten is passionate about adventure tourism that benefits local and indigenous communities border-ing national parks. In his time in Tanzania he worked closely with NGOs that worked in the prevention of poaching. He has done research into high altitude medicine and has a Wilderness First Responder certificate.
