I am the founder and President of Volunteer Voyages. We provide travel opportunities that make your heart glad! We take groups of volunteers from all walks of life to safe and comfortable locations in the developing world to work on humanitarian projects with local people. We work for about one week on each project and then embark on an - optional - second week of touring in our host country to such remarkable places as Machu Picchu, the Taj Mahal, or Ayuttaya, the ancient capital city of Siam. I am a family medicine physician but we work in all fields that may help people in remote villages throughout the world improve the lives of their families and secure a better, sustainable future.
