I've traveled a lot with friends this year, and it was the same story every single time. Nobody quite knew what was happening when. Bookings were scattered across four inboxes and four different phones. And splitting the costs afterward, across currencies, off half-faded receipts, was always the worst part of the trip.
So we built the thing we actually needed, after one too many Interrail trips ending in a group chat full of receipt photos and bad math.
How Tripline works
Tripline lays the whole trip out as a single shared timeline: flights, hotels, activities, and food, all in one place, so everyone in the group sees exactly what's happening and where, at the same time. No more "does anyone have the hotel confirmation" three days in.
The part that actually changed how we traveled was the cost splitting. Add an expense, pick who's in on it, and at the end Tripline works out exactly who owes who, down to the smallest number of payments. You can even scan a receipt or a booking confirmation and it fills itself in.
We built and tested it while Interrailing across Europe this summer, real cities, real money, real group chat chaos, and it held up. That's why it exists.

Please check it out and give us feedback! I'm also curious how people here deal splitting costs on a trip? What's actually worked for you?
Congrats guys! The UX looks great, how did you come up with this?
Who is your ideal customer for Tripline? Is there a demographic you're aiming to reach?
Looking forward to the Android version!
That is a good ideal. As far as splitting costs on a trip, sometimes you'll get, I would buy breakfast and you would buy lunch while we would split dinner.
