Here's a story about where Travel Massive networking can take you.
A few months ago, Scott and I met Patrick of Oats Marketing at a Travel Massive networking night in Portland. One coffee meeting turned into two hours of conversation, which turned into an invitation to join him on a hike and raft trip down the Wild and Scenic Rogue River with his client, Orange Torpedo Tours.
We went. We hiked. We rafted Blossom Bar. We met guides who have been on this river for fifty years and a family running a lodge so far into the backcountry that a vehicle getting there still feels like a small miracle. We came home with wildflowers, river stories, and a very clear understanding of why the Rogue keeps calling people back.
And then we wrote about it.
Raft or Hike? Choosing My Own Adventure on the Rogue River is now live on our blog Not Your Average American, in English and in Spanish. It's about navigating a multi-day wilderness trip with MS, the guides who made it possible, and the moment at the end that reminded us exactly why intentional travel matters.
