About me

I am a Tokyo-based hospitality, travel and editorial photographer and the founder of Cloudlands Journal.

I create atmospheric visual stories for hotels, destinations and travel brands across Japan, combining natural-light photography with a strong sense of place. My work moves between interiors, landscape, details and people experiencing a destination, creating imagery that feels immersive and genuine rather than heavily staged.

My commissioned hospitality work includes The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, JW Marriott Tokyo, The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, Pullman Tokyo Tamachi and Shizukuishi Prince Hotel. My independent destination photography has also been featured by Japan Travel.

I am interested in collaborating with hotels, ryokans, tourism boards and travel publications on photography, destination storytelling and editorial features.

Why did you join the community?

I joined Travel Massive to connect with tourism professionals, hotels, destinations and fellow travel storytellers, and to develop thoughtful collaborations focused on Japan, hospitality and a strong sense of place.

What is your favorite travel destination?

Japan, particularly its mountain landscapes, traditional onsen towns and quieter regional destinations. Even after several years here, there is always another season or place that feels completely different.

Where do you dream of traveling to?

I would love to explore more of Japan’s remote landscapes, particularly Yakushima, the Kumano Kodo and the country’s less visited islands.

What was your first travel job?

Photographing social media content for a luxury hotel in Tokyo. It introduced me to hospitality photography and the challenge of showing not only how a property looks, but how it feels to experience it.

What do you want to learn more about?

How photographers, hotels and destinations can build thoughtful, longer-term collaborations around visual storytelling, rather than creating content only for a single campaign or post.

Three words that describe why we should travel?

Curiosity. Connection. Perspective.
