About me

Exploring the world’s diverse cultures is Lola's passion and addiction. She is an American-Uruguayan freelance journalist and has been traveling and working remotely for nine years. Growing up in an international family exposed Lola to global cultures as she has had a passport since birth. After calling New York City home for seven years, Lola became a full-time globe trotter in 2015. During her travels, she has visited all seven continents and 86 countries. Lola is queer, dedicated to sustainability, a certified 200h Hatha yoga teacher, practices mindfulness, lives with minimal waste, and has been plant-based for 17 years.

Lola’s work has been published in many print and digital publications across the world including CNN, USA Today, Washington Post, Independent, The Times, i newspaper, NatGeo, Vogue, InStyle, ELLE, SELF Magazine, Oprah Daily, Food+Wine, Wine Enthusiast, Smithsonian Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Reader’s Digest, Architectural Digest, Refinery29, Thrillist, Time Out, and more.
