About me

Min was born in Waw (Myanmar’s Bago Division) but grew up in Yangon. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and a Diploma in Tourism Studies and Management.

Min started his profession in tourism as a bellboy at a Yangon hotel, where he served as a receptionist. He then worked at a travel agency as tour operations assistant and then ventured on his own as a freelance tourist guide and tour operator. He enjoyed this so much that he established Pro Niti Travel in 2013.

Min is one of the founders of the Trust Tourism & Management Institute which was established to develop human talent within the Myanmar tourism industry. Min is also serving as a lecturer, focused on marketing in hospitality and tourism.

Min has travelled extensively through Myanmar, as well as to neighbouring countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and a few European countries such as the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Min is keen to soon explore Canada, the USA, New Zealand, and the rest of the world!

Min has been commended as one of Myanmar’s “Young Tourism Entrepreneurs” in a BBC article in 2014, just one year after he established Pro Niti Travel. He has also been interviewed by GlobeRovers Magazine, a global focussed travel magazine. Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Asia honoured him in June 2017 with the title of “Rising Star of ASEAN”.

Since he has a passion for creating long lasting memories for travellers through responsible and sustainable tourism, he is committed to creating innovative products that have a positive impact on local communities. In his endeavour to reach his vision of empowering communities through tourism, he is closely leading his professional team to fulfil this dream. As a result, Pro Niti Travel has been awarded with the TripAdvisor “Certificate of Excellence” for the past four consecutive years.

Min’s motto is: “Let your successes be an inspiration to others.” He strongly believes that this is the driving force behind his success, and the success of his hardworking team!
