Originally from the UK and living in Cape Town, I have been travelling and writing for more than two decades; starting out as a safari and overland tour leader on trips across Africa and the Middle East and then as a guidebook author and travel writer. I am a renowned expert on African countries and cities, from Cape Town to Cairo, and know the safari industry inside out.
