About me

I am a citizen of Costa Rica and in 1989, we founded an ecotourism hotel, Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Farm & Inn. I am also an organic shade grown coffee farmer. From 2007 to 2013 I was the President of the National Association of Ecotourism (CANAECO) in Costa Rica and was the creator of the International Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference; Planet, People, Peace (P3). I am one of the founding Board members and currently the Chair of the Global Ecotourism Network (GEN), which was created by the entire Advisory Board of TIES in 2015.
