Hi, I'm Emma. I moved to Montenegro some 13 years ago to escape the London rat race and pursue my love of travel, adventure and sustainability by making it my mission in life! I founded Undiscovered Montenegro in 2008 with my husband Ben to provide small group activity holidays which are low impact on the environment but high impact in experience, running these ourselves from our villa at the stunning and little known Lake Skadar National Park. We quickly attracted top travel media attention and grew our business to become the UK's leading operator of activity holidays in Montenegro and cross-border into Albania, working with some brilliant guides, accommodations and service providers.

I seem to be writing about my business instead of me, but the two are so linked. Through my work, I am able to follow my passions and share them with others, whether it's wildlife conservation, burek, mitigating the climate crisis, yoga, kayaking, photography, hiking, bird-watching, wild swimming and, increasingly, trying to live zero waste.
