Localtime tracks new restaurant, café and bar openings in Istanbul, Paris, London and more

I built Localtime because I wanted a simple, no-frills site that keeps up with new restaurant openings in major cities and tells people what's new.

I've been experimenting with local recommendations for a long time. Localtime is a side project and an experiment in crawling local data (restaurants, events and other local happenings) and presenting it in a way that's useful to locals and tourists alike.

What it is
Localtime is a live calendar of new restaurants, cafés and bars worth leaving home for. Each city has its own feed with the newest openings at the top. Istanbul, Paris, Athens, London and Bangkok are live now, and Barcelona is coming next.

Human-eyed, AI-assisted
AI helps gather the data, but people check every place. Editors read local pages, kitchens' own channels and the first photos of each new place, then confirm it before it's listed. Photos come from those sources, are never AI-generated and are credited on the image. Each listing has a short note with a little-known fact about the chef, the building or the place, and a researched address that links to Google Maps.

Business model and what's next
The plan is to support Localtime with advertising in its magazine-style content. Next steps are launching Barcelona, adding new places continuously and updating every city daily at local midnight.
