I'm Jozef, a European living in South America. On a three-person road trip to Bolivia, only two of us installed the expense app. We had to manage spending in Paraguayan guaraní, Bolivian bolivianos and US dollars.
On a later trip to Buenos Aires there were four of us, more currencies and again someone who didn't want to install an app. I sent the final balances through WhatsApp and Signal because everyone wanted to see the result.
Afterwards, friends also asked what the Bolivia trip had cost, how much a restaurant meal cost and which places were worth visiting.
That's why I built Trek: to keep track of the trip's costs, work out who owes whom and share a link that friends can open without installing the app.
What Trek does
• Log stops with photos, expenses and notes
• Multiple currencies with automatic exchange rates
• Works out who owes whom
• Friends can join by link, no account needed
• Share the whole trip as a read-only link
• Free for one trip, with more in Trek Plus
Try Trek at 1tnt.link/trek and let me know what you think. I'd love your feedback in the comments!
