Nobody wants to be locked up in jail when they travel.... nobody but the intrepid members of Ottawa Travel Massive! Because we know that the city's most famous jail isn't a place to be feared but embraced with high 'spirits'.
Join us and the staff of Hosteling International Ottawa at the famous jail hostel as part of their Wanderlust Wednesday program. There'll be beer on special and, if you like, you can join in the Wanderlust Wednesday community meal (cost: under $10, cash).
In addition to a fantastic night of friendship, fellowship, and community building, Ryan and Vanessa from TurnipseedTravel will be sharing some of their photos from a recent trip to Turkey, which included a visit to Urfa/Mardin (several kilometers from the Syrian border).

We're going to have a corn roast! Corn on the cob will be available for $2 and there will be a selection of Latin American inspired flavored butters. Beer is available for $4 and pop is $1.50

Here's the scoop from Stephanie at Hosteling International:
There is a parking lot to the left of the hostel, but it's usually quite full - we normally reserve it for hostel guests. You can park in front of the stone archway (you'll know it when you see it) under the no parking sign, and since we're not too many, the travel massive folk can park back there if there's space.
