About this event

Travel Massive Mumbai is excited to announce our next event and we're thrilled to be talking all things Safari!

Come spend an evening with us as we talk about why Safaris are not just for Africa but how Indian Safaris are unique and unlike any other travel experience in India. Explore our own back yard and get a sense of what the jungle is like and why a Tiger Safari should be your next trip.

About The Event -

For this event we have two speakers who have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Indian Safaris. Mr Vineith Mahadev, head naturalist with Forsyth Lodge in Satpura who will talk you through a typical jungle experience and how Satpura as a national park is different from the other more popular ones and why it's special. Understanding nature and that while this might seem glamorous and only reserved for Africa, It's very much a travel trend that's catching steam in India.

About Vineith

Vineith Mahadev
Naturalist

Vineith has been trekking the ranges of the Western Ghat since he was 9 years old. His passion for the Western Ghats, its richness and biodiversity, earned Vineith his nickname: Malabaricus which means "belonging to the Western Ghats". While still perusing his engineering degree, he joined an adventure company that let him lead groups into the Western Ghats. With experience in theatre and a flair for storytelling, taking guided tours into the wilderness comes to him naturally. Working as a naturalist in Nagarhole and Kabini he honed his skills of tracking Indian mammals, birding, and learnt the scientific approach to conservation from several naturalists, locals and researchers. Vineith has a steel trap for a brain and loves having animated conversations about any topic under the sun. His voracious need for creating awareness and giving away his vast depths of knowledge keep him well read and excited about his surroundings always. His scientific approach towards storytelling always brings a new angle and depth to every sighting.

Nicole Mody who is an avid Safari enthusiast and who works with Forsyth Lodge will share her experiences in Satpura and talk about the activities undertaken by the lodge that are environmentally friendly.

About Satpura National Park

Satpura Tiger Reserve with its unique eco-tourism model (supported by the lodges within it) and its varied landscape has been able to open up new possibilities in delivering a unique and immersive wilderness experience within Central India. The landscape, extending from the highest point in the Satpura range (the Pachmarhi plateau at 1350 mtrs above sea level) to the ravines and gorges in the lower areas of Madhai, offers an enigmatic expanse to be explored through non-motorised modes like canoes on the Denwa, walks in the core and buffer zones and even cycling in the buffer areas. These activities allow visitors to explore Satpuraโ€™s diverse jungle and landscape and experience its beauty in multiple ways that can satiate the curious and the thrill seeker alike.

Post the presentation we encourage everyone to stay back, mingle network and enjoy the evening at Out Of The Blue
