About this event

Travel Massive Bangkok returns with our first “How I Built This” evening!

We have invited three entrepreneurs in Bangkok to share stories of how they built their businesses.

The sponsor of our event is Lemi. It is a travel app that helps you save, map, and share recommendations anywhere in the world. app.lemi.travel Lemi will be hosting and be providing a free welcome drink (please download the App) to attendees.

Each has come from a different background and each has taken a different path to reach where they are today. But each of them has managed to create something special and unique.

We will be hosting a panel with a Q&A. Our speakers are:

Matt Mayer, CTO, Lemi

Matt is a British mobile app developer, travel addict and dad, who has been living in Asia for the past 15 years in Chennai, Shanghai and now Bangkok. He has been to 68 countries but now calls Thailand home.

Lemi is a travel platform designed to save, map, and share recommendations anywhere in the world. Download the free app for iOS and Android, and start discovering new places, and creating your own lists to share.

Michael Biedassek, Founder of Bangkok Vanguards

Michael Biedassek is the founder and CEO of Bangkokvanguards, chief storyteller at Hyperlocal and initiator of the Bangkok Heritage Week. As a half German, half Thai, he sees himself as a connector between these two cultural roots. His passion for urban exploration and his ability to speak Thai opened his eyes for the human condition of the city as well as a wide range of urban issues and potential solutions. His goal is to design and facilitate not only fun, immersive and offbeat adventures but connect his experiences to a higher purpose.

Bangkokvanguards is a team of explorers, travel bloggers and advocates who design our travel adventures based on the stories of Thailand’s communities, living heritage and changemakers. Their emphasis is on offbeat, insightful and photogenic trails perfectly suited for photo enthusiasts and true explorers. Add to that the best street-food, hidden gems and small group exploration and you will see, feel and breathe the DNA of Thailand like no other.

Johnny Ward, Founder of GiveBack, GiveAway

GiveBack GiveAway (rebranding as Mudita Adventures) is an adventure travel company that focuses on directly giving back to the countries and communities we visit on our trips. We partner with established local organizations to provide shelter, clean water, educational facilities, libraries and more. Our trips marry adventure travel with meaningful social good projects.

As well as sharing the secrets behind their success, these three entrepreneurs will speak of the challenges they faced and the moments that they overcame.

In addition to this, they hope to inspire others in Thailand to take the leap of faith and the courage to try and build something themselves.

Join us at the Sportsman to hear these stories and meet with your fellow Travel Massive Bangkok Chapter members.

And as always …. bring your business cards.
