Saint Paul’s historic Schmidt Brewery has come back to life – and the star of that rebirth is the Keg & Case Market.
Located in what was once the brewery keg house, Keg & Case is home to more than 20 vendors. Most of the market is centered on local food. You can grab a bite to eat that ranges from organic cotton candy and freshly made ice cream to BBQ and grilled cheese to fine dining. But you can also get local grocery items to make your own meal from one of the vendors selling pickles, honey, grown on site mushrooms, and more every day or direct-from-the-farm produce at the twice weekly farmers market. There’s also a selection of pottery, paintings, reused lumber crafts, and flowers available.
And, of course, there is a craft brewery. Clutch Brewing is located on the upper level of the market, with a tap room that overlooks the market. Clutch specializes in ales and lagers made with unique, locally sourced ingredients.
Those joining in on the tour will get an introduction to the site’s history and how the market came to be, as well as a chance to meet with vendors and check out the goodies they have for sale. There will be time to ask questions, taste a few items, and take pictures.
Following the tour, we’ll all meet at Clutch Brewery for an opportunity to connect with other Travel Massive members.
