I have authored 16 books and penned hundreds of feature articles over the years. My byline has appeared in Backpacker, Men's Journal, Men's Health, Outside, The San Jose Mercury News, Portland Oregonian, etc.. My travels have taken me to all seven continents and 50 states in the United States.
I am a member in good standing of the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), TravMedia, and the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) as a media member.
