For the past 33 years, I have been fortunate to fuel my passions by creating three successful businesses. From 1993 to early 2024, I ran a business I started from the ground up. I invented and began producing SOAR inflatable canoes. I have sold over 5000 worldwide, giving river adventurers a serious canoe worthy of amazing wilderness rivers descents all over the world. I sold this business a little over a month ago to an outdoor company in Missoula MT

In 2000, living on the Russian River in Sonoma County, I created Russian River Adventures, so that Bay area residents and tourists to Wine Country can explore a beautiful 9-mile section that is loaded with amazing birds and wildlife. Over 8000 people of all ages (and often w/ their dogs!) come down the river each year on our self-guided, self-paced trip. We supply the gear, you supply a bit of muscle and a lot of curiousity! This year I begin my 24th season at the helm of this fun river adventure!

From 2005 to 2018, I started SOAR2 Adventure, offering small group adventures in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama and Colombia. The theme of my guided adventures was using easy rivers as a means of exploring and discovering the amazing bio-diversity that exists in those. Of course SOAR canoes are perfect for these trips.

On a personal side,I lived in France for over 10 yrs, and am fluent in the language, and since 2017, I make Medellin Colombia my 2nd home.
