Born on the edge of Bwindi National Park in Uganda: home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, Jonas Tushemukyire’s perspective on travel was shaped by proximity to one of the world’s most protected conservation ecosystems with a rare convergence of wilderness and refined hospitality.

As the Founder and Chief Travel Designer of Explora Journeys Africa, i work with a team of travel specialists to curate discreet, highly personalized luxury African safaris, small group journeys and classic family expeditions across Africa’s most coveted destinations: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, and Madagascar.

With an early foundation in accounting, i developed a detail-oriented approach that now defines my work as a Private Travel Guide and Chief Travel Designer, with each itinerary customised to match our discerned guest(s)’ physical/fitness capabilities and all other private travel preferences.
