Johanna is a tourism industry professional, that is focused on digital (travel) events and sustainable development. In her current role as a project manager for Alsharq Reise, which offers political study trips with a focus on West Asia, North Africa and beyond, she supports international organisations in creating engaging and interactive online events. Moreover, Johanna works together with tour operators to enhance their performance on virtual tours.
Prior to this position she lived and worked in Myanmar’s former capital Yangon, where she coordinated a two-year project, funded by DFID, aimed to support the sustainable development in the tourism value chain of SMEs in Myanmar.
