Hello, I’m Janet, the owner and writer behind Practical Travel Concepts. With over 40 years in various corporate leadership roles and owning multiple businesses, I’ve now shifted gears to pursue my passion for travel. My focus is on writing straightforward blog posts about my travels and helping clients plan their trip itineraries. I aim to share practical travel insights and tips to enhance your adventures based on my firsthand experiences exploring the world with my husband and family.

Why did you join the community?

To build working relationships with follow colleagues to increase my knowledge on growing my travel business.

What is your favorite travel destination?

Southern Italy! I have a home in San Nicola Arcella in Calabria and love our small village that sits along the sea with the Pollino mountains in the background. Calabria is the true Italy that is untouched by overtourism.

Where do you dream of traveling to?

I would like to spend more time exploring South America - Patagonia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru,

What was your first travel job?

After I retired from the corporate world in the life sciences industry, I wanted to follow my passion and help others in planning their trip itineraries. I started as a travel blogger (and continue to do so) and now work with clients in planning their trips to Italy.
