Jacob first caught the travel bug while studying in Prague during his junior year at Boston University and instantly knew that he wanted his career to bring him to all parts of the globe. After graduation he moved to Vietnam for a year of teaching and traveling, where he fell in love with the country, its people, its food and its spirit. He remained in the country for over 3 years with stints in both Saigon and Hanoi. Living abroad in Vietnam inspired him to join Remote Lands, where his passion for travel helps him build customized itineraries for his clients. Jacob enjoys learning the history and culture of new places, and some of his favorite travel experiences have been exploring the Vietnam countryside on motorbike, camping at a music festival in Japan, and attending the Hong Kong Sevens Rugby Tournament.
