Gerhard Franken is a native of the Western Cape where his hospitality career started over 20 years ago. He spent nearly 10 years in London where he obtained his Marketing and Business Administration qualifications. He managed several hotels and was part of the Visit London Tourism Association. During this time he helped plan the Olympic Games of 2012 and visited several International Trade Shows. After returning to South Africa, he continued in the hospitality industry and managed 4 and 5 star properties. He is currently working with Imogene Consultancy and Projects as well as Zalabantu Projects in establishing links through tourism, art and events. He is also the Chairperson for the Polokwane Tourism Association, the Limpopo Provincial Tourism Association. He is also a member of the provincial tourism forum of LEDET. His is passionate about every aspect Tourism related and believes in the development and growth of his province, Limpopo.
