“Ernest Bergins is well known in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry and Conservation circles. He is a Teacher by profession and has held senior managerial positions at Spes Bona Bank, Ford Motor Company and the Urban Foundation before starting his own company NETWORK TOURISM. Bergins has served on the Boards of the East Cape Liquour Board ( 1994 – 1998) and the East Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (1999 - 2013). As Chairperson of Marketing and Tourism Promotion at ECPTA, he had the opportunity of representing the Agency, and no doubt, Nelson Mandela Bay at local, national and international forums. Through this process he has built up a considerable network of influential contacts both nationally and internationally. He is an Honorary Ranger serving the Addo Elephant National Park. As a qualified assessor (Cathseta Registered) for grading tourism establishments, Bergins is also a National Judge for the Lilizela National Tourism Awards. He is a registered agent for Flight Center.”
