Founder of PodShare, a network of 7 hostels across California, operating since 2012.
After more than a decade managing occupancy, pricing, and distribution firsthand, I founded Deadline, a private hotel marketplace where verified travelers bid on expiring rooms.
I am passionate about travel innovation, hospitality technology, and building products that create value for both hotels and travelers. Always happy to connect with hotel operators, travel founders, and industry partners.
Why did you join the community?
Q&AI'm joining Travel Massive to connect with independent hotels, travel technology founders, and tourism professionals as we launch Deadline. I'm looking to onboard boutique hotels to our marketplace, collaborate with hospitality partners, and grow a community of verified travelers who enjoy discovering great stays through a new booking experience. I'm also documenting the journey of building a travel startup and look forward to contributing to the community.
What is your favorite travel destination?
Q&ASanta Barbara. It's one of the reasons I opened a PodShare there. I only build hospitality projects in places I genuinely love to visit. San Francisco, San Diego, and Santa Barbara have always been my favorite California destinations.
Where do you dream of traveling to?
Q&ATokyo. I've always wanted to experience Japan's original capsule hotels and pod-style accommodations firsthand. As the founder of PodShare, I'd love to see how the concept evolved and bring new inspiration back home.
What was your first travel job?
Q&AI started my career as a videographer and had the opportunity to travel internationally while filming tours for artists including Avril Lavigne in China and comedian Jeff Dunham around the world. Those experiences sparked my passion for travel and hospitality.
What do you want to learn more about?
Q&AI'm excited to learn from hotel operators, travel technology founders, and tourism professionals about building trust with independent hotels, expanding hotel distribution, and creating partnerships that help properties monetize unsold inventory while protecting their public rates.
Three words that describe why we should travel?
Q&ADiscovery. Independence. Expansion.
