Founder and managing director of Red Lantern Journeys, which arranges cultural tours and adventure travel packages for independent travelers in Asia. I spend several months a year scouting Asia destinations in order to be able to offer the most unique experiences for our clients. At home, climbing is my hobby--you'll see me in the mountains, and on the sides of cliffs and frozen waterfalls, and teaching mountaineering classes. I also am on the board of the Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children, a non-profit that supports education for needy children in Nepal. I organize the annual Mt. Rainier Climb for Himalaya Children as a fundraiser for Mitrata.
