About this event

A partner event to help celebrate United Nations World Tourism Day! Feel like a tourist in your own city

Join in the celebrations of World Tourism Day with a FREE guided tour of Sydney’s Bridge Street and surrounds.

On Sunday, 25 September, for the sixth year running IATG’s accredited tour guides will spend a day making Sydneysiders feel like a tourist in their own city. Many locals walk through the city on a regular basis – how much do they really know about the places they are walking past?

Starting at 10.00 am, tours run approximately every 15 minutes from Customs House opposite Circular Quay and take in the many sites of historic significance in Bridge Street, including Macquarie Place.

This year’s United Nations theme is accessible tourism and the Sydney tours reflect that theme. All tours are wheelchair and pram accessible, and there is one tour (11.00 am) specifically designed for sight-impaired visitors.

Each tour is 45 minutes and the last tour departs at 3.00 pm. No booking required, just rock up and enjoy the experience.
