It is a well known fact that women play a significant role in the tourism industry and this month we'll be paying homage to their invaluable contribution, joining forces with the Department of Tourism to create Travel Massive gatherings across the country.
This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the achievements of woman in South Africa's dynamic tourism industry, as well as network with fellow travel industry peers. The event will be enjoyed over breakfast, where we will be generously hosted by the One&Only Cape Town, with various sectors within the tourism industry represented, highlighting the significant role of women in tourism.
Our Guest Speaker, Velma Corcoran, Regional Market Consultant at Airbnb for Southern Africa, will talk to us about the fact that over 60% of SA hosts are women from all walks of life, and how Airbnb as a platform empowers them.
Keeping Africa our focus, events will be held simultaneously in Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth - all showcasing the wonder of women.
