About this event

James Beard award-winning food reporter Steve Dolinsky (perhaps best known as Channel 7’s Hungry Hound) says that very few cultures are as focused on food and service as is Japan. “I’ve never seen people care so much about how food is sourced, prepared, and served, especially in Tokyo.”

Join Steve Dolinsky as he examines both Tokyo’s culinary culture and Japanese food in the U.S. with a prestigious panel of food specialists, including Tokyo’s own master of traditional cooking Naoyuki Yanagihara, Chicago’s own Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning chef Takashi Yagihashi of Slurping Turtle, Suntory Whiskey Ambassador Gardner Dunn, Owner of Kamehachi Sharon Perazzoli, and Chicago Tribune Food & Dining reporter Louisa Chu.

The panel discussion will be followed by tasting of sake from breweries in Japan! Come network with fellow Travel Massive members and meet others who share the same passion of traveling and exploring. This is an event you don't want to miss!
